Investing Goals - Friday Findings
I’m skipping formal New Year’s resolutions this year. Instead, over the next 11 days, I’ll take stock of my life—identifying what’s working, what’s not, and where I can simplify. It’s something we should probably all do regularly, but with some extra time off coming up, it feels more doable.
One area I’ve been reflecting on is how I can invest more effectively. This includes both time and resources. For example, I need an extra outlet installed at home—it would make my life so much easier. But the cost has held me back. It’s a priority I’m setting for 2025.
I’ve also been thinking about investing in subscriptions or classes. I’m notorious for signing up for newsletters from people I follow online, all of whom seem to offer some sort of masterclass. It’s time to decide: Should I unsubscribe, or is there value in diving into one of these?
Then there are those smaller, quick wins with a solid ROI. For instance, I’ve been eyeing the Prepared Hero fire blanket for ages. At $25, it’s a small investment, but I kept hesitating because I didn’t want to fall for the marketing. Recently, I decided it’s worth it—and bought one.
Throughout this process, I plan to keep my trusty field notes notebook handy to jot down ideas as they come to me. I encourage you to do the same—there’s no better time than now to reflect and plan for the year ahead!
